# Copying of multiple apps between solutions

Hi! When copying an ecosystem of apps between solutions, is there a way to prevent duplicate object classes from being created? Currently, it seems that after copying, I need to manually remove duplicates and then recreate large parts of the logic that depended on them.

Some settings, like roles and permissions, don’t get copied over at all. Is there a way to get these automatically populated?

Are there any best practices, settings, or workflows that help streamline this process and maintain references correctly?

Hi!

There is no way to avoid duplicates of object classes when copying apps between solutions. We do not _currently_ have support fo “merging” object classes on this level. The copy between solutions functionality is documented [here](https://docs.appfarm.io/reference/platform-concepts/copy-and-paste#copy-between-solutions).

I agree that it would be nice to at least have the possibility to copy multiple apps (and/or services) from the same solution into another solution. **I have registered a challenge on that!**

Note that Appfarm has the power to copy a solution, but in that case, the target solution will be _overwritten_ when the copy is applied.
