# Custom UI component - Action with required parameter

Hi, I’m trying to trigger an action from a button in a Custom UI component. The action has a parameter that is required, but in the component it is not possible to set a value to the action parameter.

This issue will be resolved in release 108, which also includes additional improvements related to custom components.

Will there also be a fix for popovers in components? or is that a new bug/feature?

Hi @Preben ,

We discovered that this behavior isn’t limited to custom components—it applies to all similar inputs, including action parameters. If you’re referring to the same issue with popovers in components, then it should already be addressed. However, if it’s a different issue, I’d appreciate it if you could provide more details.
