I have an action variable of type date time. It does have a value. When i try to use it in a filter on a read action node that uses read from other, this raises an exception.

The type of comparison, does not matter. I tried smaller than, equals and not equals.

Using the same comparison in an if statement or a read that reads form the database works fine.

Using a different datetime datasource for the comparison also works fine

Hi, and thank you for reporting this!

I was not immediately able to reproduce this bug, could you share some more details about your setup? How are the data sources that you read to and from set up? How is the action logic set up?

I read from a many runtime datasource to a one runtime datasource. The logic in the action is complex, and I changed it slightly to get around this issue. The one thing I believe may be relevant in the action logic is a function that was used to set the datetime value in the action variable.

Let me know if you still have trouble reproducing it. I don’t have access to the set up that originally cause the issue, but I may be able to reproduce it in a standalone app.

Thank you for providing further details!
I’m still not able to reproduce this on my end, so if you have a reproducible case that you could give me access to, that would be very helpful.

I had a similar issue where an Aggregate Data node would fail when filtered on an Action Variable. It worked when I swapped it out for Action Input value instead
