# Feature request: Copy from shared component

Hey,

At the moment it’s not possible to copy something like a cointaner from a shared component to the UI.

I think this would be useful!

Hi @petter2 ,

Thank you for your request! At the moment, this functionality is not enabled by design, as the necessary logic is not yet in place. However, I’ve created a challenge to address it in the future.

In the meantime, a workaround would be to copy and insert the component in the UI, and then disconnect it manually. You can find more details on this process in the [documentation](https://docs.appfarm.io/reference/apps/ui/shareable-ui-components#disconnect-a-component).
