# Horizontal Collapse

For the collapse motion on containers. Today only vertical collapse is supported. Horizontal collapse would be particularly useful in custom drawers with content that has a variable width or an iterating horizontal container with a variable object count.

This behavior is supported in the MUI-component through the “orientation”-prop:
