# Send email node can't use action variables. Appfarm AI does it anyway

Realised that this is not possible to databind as a user, but the AI does:

When binding a message to an action variable (or using an action variable in a function in the same field), the node fails with an error message:

```auto
Action Node failed: Send Email

ResourceNotFoundError: Unable to find DataSource: BUILTIN_ACTION_VARIABLES__DS

```

Thank you for reporting this!

We’re merging a fix that prevents the AI from generating this kind of setup, both for **Send email** and other nodes that don’t yet support action data sources or action variables. The fix will follow our regular release cycle.
