Appfarm AI just got a major upgrade!

For solutions on the Early release channel: This release (June 4th) reshapes how Appfarm AI builds. Under the hood, you now talk to an orchestrator - an agent that knows everything about Appfarm but doesn’t build itself. Instead, it delegates the actual work to a team of focused subagents, each a specialist in its own part of Create.

The result is faster, cleaner, and more capable building: better UI, broader coverage of what the agent can build, and far more transparency into what’s happening while it works. Here’s what’s new.

Four new tools for the AI toolbelt

01 · Sub agents
One lead agent delegates to focused specialists, each with their own tools. You always talk to the orchestrator, and it routes the work to the right expert behind the scenes.

02 · Parallel tasks
The agent can run many steps at once instead of waiting in a single line — so independent pieces of your app get built simultaneously.

03 · Ask user
When the agent hits a decision point, it pulls you into the loop with a visual prompt. Answer, and it continues - no guessing on your behalf.

04 · Generate sample data
Seed your app with realistic records in seconds, so you can test and demo against data that actually looks real. This feature is a solution-level opt-in managed in Appfarm Create → Settings → Appfarm AI. No Dev Data is read (except IDs), only generated.

More in this release

Focus a single subagent
Want to work directly with one specialist? Select Focus to talk straight to the subagent you need:

  • Frontend - design and UI building, including wiring actions up to the UI
  • Logic & Data - actions and data sources
  • Flows
  • Data Model

See what each subagent is doing
The panel now shows details and time spent per subagent, so you can follow exactly how your app is being built.

More deeplinks
The agent is now better at linking directly to the relevant views, actions, and places in Create instead of raw IDs.

Better, more polished builds
Build quality is up across the board, based on extensive testing - and especially on UI, since all UI now goes through the dedicated Designer subagent. New apps are built in a sensible order: a simple app shell first, then the data model and data sources, then a fully connected UI.

Build Flows
The agent can now build Flows.

Responsive apps and shareable components
It can build responsive apps and make use of shareable components.

User management
The agent can set up user management - and will even guide you through enabling user account manipulation when it’s needed.

Data visualization in Create
View your Dev data directly from a table in the data model, right inside Create.

Give it a try and let us know what you build. As always, feedback (thumbs up/down on responses, or here in the community) helps us make the agents better.
