Lost all changes after crash, and difficult to get agent to rerun my task-list

Some feedback from my initial experience with the new AI Agent :fire:

I gave a prompt to create a new app. A plan with 16 tasks was created, and I approved this. It successfully created an app with a theme, I saved this, and turned on autorun. Then I just let the agent work, checking in from time to time. It looked very promising!

However, after some time, Appfarm Create crashed, and when I reloaded everything was gone except the empty app and theme that I saved initially. I’m assuming this is because I never saved the progress, but it would have been nice if the autorun also included an autosave option, to avoid this type of problem. The agent takes some time to complete the tasks, so I’m assuming most people will multitask and not pay attention to the agent all the time :sweat_smile: But for now, what is the best practice here? Is it to turn off autorun, and make sure to save each step as soon as they’re done?

I tried to have the agent rerun my tasks, but so far it is struggling. I asked it to rerun everything except the first task, and nothing happened. It just said “plan updated”, even though it wasn’t. In my second attempt, I managed to make it rerun my second task, but then it stopped again. So I will probably just start from scratch again, and run my initial prompt again instead.

Excited to keep exploring this! This has such huge potential!

A way to solve these types of error situations could be to add a feature for selecting tasks and click rerun yourself, instead of having to try to explain it to the agent.

We are turning off “Auto-run” (probably friday evening) until the New app-flow has been stabilised! Also, we have some improvements planned for the whole stability of the “build full app with tasks” flow within the next days / early next week. Per now, the longer the message-list is, the more mistakes the AI does. Clean new thread often improves the quality a lot, but then you lose the tasks.

Another tip for now: If something incorrect is built (e.g. missing data bindings etc or a view is crashing) ask the AI to fix missing configuration of tasks or UI.
