Portrait images rotate incorrectly to landscape when Responsive Image is enabled in Image component

When displaying images taken in portrait mode using the Image component, enabling Responsive Image causes the images to be incorrectly rotated to landscape orientation. Disabling Responsive Image results in correct portrait display. Additionally, the images display correctly in Fullscreen Preview regardless of the Responsive Image setting.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Display an image taken in portrait mode using the Image component.
  2. Enable Responsive Image.
  3. Observe that the image is rotated to landscape orientation.
  4. Disable Responsive Image and reload.
  5. Observe that the image is now correctly shown in portrait.

Expected Behavior:
Portrait images should maintain their correct orientation when Responsive Image is enabled.

Actual Behavior:
Portrait images are incorrectly rotated to landscape when Responsive Image is enabled.

Notes:

  • This seems to be a regression, as the issue did not occur previously.
  • The image orientation is correctly handled in Fullscreen Preview, regardless of the Responsive Image setting.

Example

With “responsive image” enabled.

With reponsive image disabled
