Secondary list item does not get contrast color from primary text

I have a list in a drawer. The Primary text seems to get its “primary contrast” text color due to dark background color, however the secondary text does not change to secondary contrast. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

It does not help to change secondary text color to the same as primary text (opacity and color).

Hi! We have noticed some issues with the contrast colors in the current version of Material UI that we are running. This is likely to be resolved when we upgrade to the next version of MUI.
