Select role that we want to manipulate (Permission View)

Hey Appfarm

Just a simple feature that will help a lot.

As our apps gets bigger with more restriction for user. we have a lot of Role to display. wich make the permission view on Appfarm create very heavy. is it possible to be able to select and display only permission that we want to manipulate ?

  • It will probably upgrade the performance of this view and make it more light
  • it will help compare for exemple two role side by side

Could you please elaborate on how you would like this to work? Is it a filter for which roles are present in the table as columns?

Hello Simon,

As simple as it may sound, I think it would be useful to have a filtering option in the Permissions section, especially when dealing with solutions that contain a large number of roles.

as you said , it is just to display the columns that we want to have ( making the view much lighter )

For example:

  • I need to adjust the Financial Manager role.
  • I should be able to go to Permissions → Object Classes and use a filter to display only the Financial Manager role.
  • Ideally, I could also select multiple roles at the same time, for example to compare their permissions.

Advantages:

  • A more readable and less cluttered view.
  • Faster loading when there are many roles.
  • Easier and safer to make changes without accidentally modifying or clicking on another role.
  • The ability to easily compare permissions between different roles.

So, basically, I’m thinking of a simple filter button that allows us to select which role(s) we want to display.

It could also be useful to have a similar filter for the object classes themselves, although that would not be necessary for my particular use case.
