Is there a way to print out a PDF document without downloading it?
I have tried to open the file in a new window with the PDF viewer fullscreen and then print the view but it does not work
If you have a PDF, you will need to download it (Open URL) before printing it. Normally, when opening a PDF URL from your App, it will also open. You may then print it.
An alternative is the send the PDF (URL) to a web printer if you have a printer that allows receiving either a URL or an attachment. For example: In our office, we may send emails with attachments to a specific email address. In appfarm, you may use the “Send Email” action node and add the PDF as an Attachment here.
If you have a View in Appfarm, you may also trigger “Open Print Dialog” (action node) to open the default browser printer, in order to print the View. This might require some tuning of the view to make it look good for print (e.g. hide some menu or buttons before opening the print dialog).
