We did try the upgrade to mui 5. However, we experienced severe performance issues, and needed to roll back. We’ll keep looking for solutions to this, but unfortunately we cannot give an ETA for it yet.
However, we’ll also try to find another solution to the datetime picker improvements of mui 5 (in line edits as a pri).

We are hoping to release this later this year.
Some more info regarding the matter: MUI upgrades affects both Create and new and existing Apps - so it is both crucial that the new versions are performant and that everything is tested thoroughly when included in Appfarm, and relevant new features in MUI must be implemented in Create. Appfarm is currently on MUI4, as the recent MUI5 upgrade needed to be rolled back due to technical reasons. We are on schedule with MUI6 however, and plan an upgrade later this year. However, MUI6 is not yet in stable release, but hopefully very soon.

If this is the correct project Material UI · GitHub there seems to only be minor issues related to documentation before the MUI6 release.

Are we getting closer to an update to MUI 6? I see 6.1.5 was released a few days ago and I really miss a some of the new features like the Appfarm needs a better date-time component

Yes, it’s time for a quick update!
We are currently implementing it in Appfarm Create, where all UI inside Create will use MUI 6. This is not something a developer will notice very much or benefit from, but it is a good way to verify MUI 6 before it is released to the clients. This has an ETA of version 111 (December).
Next up is releasing it to the clients (apps) shortly after that. And when released to the clients, working stable, more MUI 6 features will be added.
