We are getting reports from users and are also able to reproduce ourselves that scanning QR codes with the Scan Barcode / QR code action node is not stable.
Often we see that the scanner is not able to identify QR codes. Our theory is that it “times out” or are not able to identify the QR code when focus is changing a lot before a scan or the amount of time from the action is triggered to the camera points to the QR code.
It is not easy to identify why it happens, but we are consistently able to reproduce this.
This is a critical app for our customer, so the user experience is not great at the moment. Work around is to close the scanner and retry. This seems to “reset” the scan process and usually it works on the second try.

Hello @Preben, a minor improvement to the QR-scanner has now been patched to 116.0.30. It seems to have been an issue closing the camera after decoding a second time. Since you were able to easily reproduce, maybe you can do a quick test to see if this fix solved your issue?
