Great to hear that a new date picker is being worked on.
I would like to give the following thought and wish:
My users are reporting on events back in time and in one report it may contain additions that span over several days.
The datepicker default date and time is the current.
I would like to have two built in runtime app variables called datePickerDefaultStartDate with date only precision and datePickerDefaultStartDateTime with HHMM only precision. That way I can whenever needed update these and my users can be sure that the date or time is not yet set, but will in the UI picker start at the currently most logical place.
